WIBA 80 Years of Success...

WIBA – 81 Years of Success...and the Best is Yet to Come

Cindy Henning

It is an honor to serve as Chairman of the 2012 WIBA Board of Directors.  We will continue to ask for your judgment and opinion on topics as diverse as legislative issues, seminar topics, and services for you.

Our Board and Executive Committee have committed to an aggressive business plan designed to ensure that WIBA is the best provider of services and representation for independent businesses.

Here are the major components:

Goal 1:  To make WIBA membership a remarkable value.
Under the leadership of Gail Foley, Send Out Cards, and Edward Fox, Coffee Time News, we have launched a Connectors Club. We are working on additional services to add to our Business Your Networking events, while strengthening our monthly luncheons and seminars.

Goal 2:  To enhance WIBA’s standing as the voice of independent business.
Over the past twelve years WIBA has significantly increased its credibility and impact in Topeka.  Based on what you have told us in surveys our top issue is health care, especially cost containment.  Our intent is to forge stronger relationships with our local governments in order to have a greater say in local events.

Goal 3:  To strengthen our insurance program.
We have a limited benefit plan, accident, hospital, cancer and disability insurance as well as our offering of health, dental, and vision insurance. It is our intent to build stronger incentives in our health plan for behaviors that contribute to cost containment.

Goal 4:  To strengthen WIBA’s finances.
We want to increase the number of companies joining WIBA for more than one reason by providing more reasons to join and renew.  We believe that WIBA membership is a bargain.

We are committed to increasing the value of your membership.  What can make us even stronger is your participation in committees, attendance at the monthly luncheons, attendance at the networking events, and response when we ask for your guidance.

Best regards,

Cindy Henning
