In an election year it is vital that independent businesses participate in the electoral process.  One of those ways is through the support of candidates who listen to and consider the interests of independent businesses.  Members of WIBA’s Government Affairs Committee and the Kansas Independent Business PAC have been interviewing candidates with primary contests.  In August WIBA will interview the candidates for the general election.

The highlight will be the appearance of a significant public official.  The specific person has not been settled as of the writing of this newsletter.

The suggested donation to KIBPAC is at least $50 per person attending.  Very nice hors-d'oeuvres and beverages will be provided.  Come enjoy the fun and help elect candidates committed to building a healthy environment for independent businesses.
